Hi I'm Corinthia

I'm a Mormon because the sisters in the Pinewood feed my family for one week after i had my second child.

About Me

I have three adult children and five grandchildren whom I love very much. My husband an I are pioneers, we've been members twentynine years. I have four strong Africa American sisters in the gosple whom I love dearly. We help and suport each other, we laugh out loud, dance and play spades together.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ twenty nine years ago. For fifteen years I was just going through the motion until one day I was in a car accident. The vehicle was total; I got out of the car without a scratch on me. That was my defining moment in my life. People in the church say “The church and the book of Mormon are true”. After my accident I began to pray and read earnestly, asking Heavenly Father if this Book of Mormon true. I prayed and read my scriptures everyday none stop, as I read The Book of Mormon the Spirit came over me. My heart was full of peace and joy! I felt good on the inside. I had left The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to attend a Pentecostal church. My mother had been praying for me to return to the Pentecostal church, and God answered her prayers. For one year I enjoyed the music, but I always left there feeling half full. I kept on praying and asking God for guidance in what I should do. The Lord told me to go back to the LDS church, if I did my life and family would be blessed. One day during a visit from my mother, I went into the room where my mom was, I looked at her and said “hi” and walked back out the door. I did that for three days because I felt I would be breaking her heart by leaving the Pentecostal church. The weight of my decision was very heavy on me. I knew that I was supposed to tell her what Heavenly Father said. On the fourth day I went into the room; got down on my knees and said “mom I love you, I’ve been praying asking God where would he have me to be. The Spirit said if I go back to the LDS church my life and family would be blessed.” She said “baby if The Lord said go back to the LDS church then you do what He told you to do. At that time I felt the weight dropped off of me. My life has been richly blessed since that time. My three adult children have been through the Temple. I believe in Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures daily, I pray often and share my Testmony with others of how God has Blessed my life.
