Hi I'm Mike

I grew up in the south Texas and now I'm living in Kuwait. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm a dad and a husband. I've got 3 great kids and a wonderful wife. During the day, I'm an Intrusion Detection analyst, which I enjoy a lot. My hobbies? I enjoy writing, cooking, and eating what I cook. I served a mission in Brazil.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were Mormon. Their parents were Mormon. In fact, on my Mom's side of the family, I have ancestors that knew Joseph Smith and crossed the plains to Utah. That isn't why I'm Mormon. I served a mission and saw this gospel change people. I've felt the Spirit of Christ in such an intense manner through this Gospel that leaving it would be akin to denying myself air. This Church has made me a better man, a better husband, and a better father.

How I live my faith

Living in Kuwait still gives me the chance to go to church. I go on Fridays now, but it is still the same Church I enjoyed in the States. Living my faith requires more than just prayer, church attendance, or scripture reading...I have to put into practice what I learn in my every day life.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Mike
Yes and Yes! One of the great truths that our church holds is that God wants families to be together forever. This is accomplished in our temples where a family is "sealed" by the power and authority of God. Show more Show less
