Hi I'm Josh

I'm a video editor, love to play the piano, from Indiana, a college student, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to do video editing on the same program they use to edit Pirates of the Carribean. I compose, arrange and mix music. I play piano and sing. I come from a mixed family; both parents divorced and remarried. I love the gospel and going to the temple.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised into the Church so it was easy for me to believe and adapt to what was taught to me from an early age. However when I faced difficulties as a teenager, I started to doubt whether God was really there or not, whether this church or prophets were really back on the earth today as they had existed before. It was then, when I felt like I had no one else to turn to, I went to the only person I had been taught to go to, who was that Father in heaven who loved all His children here on this earth. It didn't come immediately, but slowly over time, the comfort, the peace as promised in John 14:27 came to me in my life. I know and testify even now as a representative of Jesus Christ that He lives and will not leave us comfortless. Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, did in fact appear to Joseph Smith and call him to restore the Church and Gospel that existed with Christ in His ministry and in the lives of prophets of old. I testify that this did happen not that I just believe it happened. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon, along with modern revelation from the prophets today are scripture and we are led by a prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who is called and appointed by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ himself whose church it is.

How I live my faith

I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Boise, Idaho area for two years. Currently, I am a student and am trying to be an example to others in all that I do and say. I love being a member of the Church.

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

It is a health code, it is mainly that we abstain from coffee, harmful substances (ie. illegal drugs and misuse of other drugs), alcohol or strong drinks, tobacco products, and tea. In a sense it is that we do not overindulge in too much of anything, ie. too much sugar, fats, meats, bread, anything. For this we are promised blessings of good health that we might "run and not weary, walk and not faint." That we might even "find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures". -Doctrine & Covenants 89:19-20 Show more Show less
