Hi I'm Trajan

I am a father, a husband, a friend and a manager. I am thankful for the lessons life brings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I love family life. We have three girls and three boys. We keep busy home schooling our children and adapting to the needs of our teens, pre-teens and tweens. I am a federal public service employee in Ottawa, Canada. Work can be challenging, but it brings me great opportunities to learn and grow personally. I am also a new entrepreneur, starting a media streaming company. At church, I co-teach a youth seminary class and direct the annual nativity pageant.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of the church. My parents took us to church each Sunday, and there was an expectation that we attend as a family. Learning and living the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ as I was growing up always seemed to bring the most happiness in life. I chose to keep the commandments and live by God's standards because things seemed to work out well. Life hasn't been without trials and hard times, but my conviction that things will turn out best when I am living by the standards that Christ taught has always carried me through. In fact, I have grown personally and seen great blessings in my life as result. While those blessings are great to me, they are manifest in the regular things in life. I don't think God loves me any more than the next person, but I know he has never forgotten me and I am grateful for that.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is about being steady in living my life in a way that's consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ. It's a challenge to keep focused on the most important things in life, but I have learned that I am happiest when I live in direct alignment with my faith and values. Striving to do that is how I learn and grow. Of course, learning and growing means making mistakes all along the way. That's why I am grateful for a loving and forgiving Father in Heaven. His love and example make it easier for me to forgive myself, love my neighbour and be patient and understanding of others through life's trials. By seeking to recognize God's hand in my own life and the lives of my wife and children, I find that I am never alone. This knowledge gives me courage to carry on and to better know and follow Christ. A key goal of mine has become to find joy in the journey. And while that's not always easy, I know it's how I can find peace and happiness in life.
