Hi I'm Daniel

I'm the youngest of five, my father passed away when I was 7, I'm married with a sweet daughter and son, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Most importantly, I've been married to my beautiful wife since December of 2006. We currently have one beautiful daughter and a strapping son. I finished law school in May of 2012 and switched career paths to enter business intelligence/analytics at Accenture. I love emerging technologies such as "Big Data," browsers, "the cloud," and mobile technology, in general. I'm an avid Colorado sports fan. However, I follow the Avalanche, Broncos, Nuggets, and Rockies a lot less than I used to . . . I also love BYU football.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and generations back have all (or mostly all) been members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I remember waking up at home, early in the morning to read and discuss the scriptures. My mother and father set excellent examples for me of followers of Christ. They taught me correct principles and to understand the plan God has for us. When my father died in a scouting snow cave accident, I was certainly sad, and I was at peace because I knew where he had gone, and I know we can be together, again, as a family. Furthermore, as I've grown into a man and a father myself, I've seen how much the gospel of Jesus Christ affects my life for the better. I know the Savior gave His authority and established His church through the Prophet Joseph Smith and that His Church and authority are both on the earth, today, found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Though far from perfect, I try to live my faith every day. Daily individual and family scripture study help keep me focused on what matters most. Personal and family prayers help keep me anchored to God and remember that He is always there, even when our world is in chaos.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Daniel
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It was written by ancient American prophets who were guided here by the hand of the Lord. In a world full of doubt about who Jesus Christ is and what His role in our life should be, the Book of Mormon joins with the Bible in affirming His preeminence and divinity: "And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." Indeed, Jesus Christ is the only "name given under heaven . . . whereby man can be saved." The Prophet Mormon taught, "Know ye that ye must come to the knowledge of your fathers, and repent of all your sins and iniquities, and believe in Jesus Christ, that he is the Son of God, and that he was slain . . . and by the power of the Father he hath risen again, whereby he hath gained the cvictory over the grave; and also in him is the sting of death swallowed up."
