Hi I'm Lance

I have been a member of the Church all my life. I am so excited about this site and the opportunities it will create.

About Me

I love life. I am a father of 4 beautiful children who I will be able to be with forever if we all live faithfully. I love my wife and am so thankful that she is willing to be a homemaker and help me raise our children. She is truly a selfless person. I am a School Administrator, Realtor, Photographer and I also own a window cleaning business. I love snowboarding, wakeboarding, photography, video editing, sports of any kind and most importantly I love being with my family, immediate and extended.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ here on earth. I have a testimony of our prophet President Monson. Every time I listen to General Conference every six months my testimony is solidified and all I want is to be able to share what I have with those who do not have it. I know the Book of Morman is a true book of scripture. The Holy Ghost bares witness to my soul as I read it. I know that Jesus is the Christ. I know He died for me and for all of us here on earth. I know that through him we can repent of our sins and be clean again. I know that families can be together after this life on earth. I love my family and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a bishop in the church. This has been such a neat calling for me. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work so closely with my members and those investigating the church in our area. I am also a hometeacher. I love to hometeach. I know that it is the Lords way to look after his children here on earth.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

That is the neat thing. When someone reads the Book of Morman or listens to the missionaries about the Prophet Joseph Smith and the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ they are invited to pray about the word they hear. The Spirit will speak to those who seek to know and let them know the truth in their mind and in their heart. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

One of the lows of nature state that for every action there must be a reaction. If you do something good, good is going to come back to you. If you do something bad, bad is going to come back to you. Justice must be satisfied. However, because of the atonement of Jesus Christ we are able to repent and Christ takes upon Himself that sin and we can be forgiven as we stop the sin, make restitution and ask Heavenly Father in prayer to forgive us. When we take the sacrament each Sunday those sins can be washed away though Christ. Without Christ we would be lost forever. Because of Christ we can be saved. Show more Show less

What is the Law of Chastity?

Complete fidelity in a marital relationship and living with clean thoughts. Before marriage it is living clean with clean thoughts and clean actions. By clean I mean respecting those of the opposite sex and respecting yourself. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was born in 1805 in a country that finally had freedom of religion. He was confused at all the different churches that were out there and wanted to know which one was true. In the spring of 1820 he sought the answer to his question in prayer. In response to his prayer Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him that the true church of Jesus Christ was no longer on the earth but that he would be instrumental in restoring the church to the earth. He was the central figure in restoring the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth in these the latter-days. With the priesthood which holds the keys to perform the saving ordinances we need to gain Eternal Life which means to live in the presence of God forever with our families. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I have prayed about that for myself and the Holy Ghost has born witness to me that he was a prophet of God. Show more Show less
