Hi I'm John

I'm a recent College Graduate, I'm a Service Coordinator, I'm a Friend, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have recently graduated from college and I have started my first entry-level job. I love working with different people everyday. Part of my job is to help families deal with challenging situations. I find it wonderful to learn from those around me and how they have dealt with life's challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I cam to the church as a young man with my family. I gained my testimony when I was given a challenge to read the Book of Mormon. I took the challenge and came to know for myself that it is true. I remember wanting to read all night because I could feel the love of the Savior. I continued to learn for myself the truthfullness of the gospel. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and I know that He loves me.

How I live my faith

I strive each day to live in accordance with gospel principles. The church helps me by giving me opportunities to serve those around me. Helping those in my ward (congregation) helps me to learn of the Savior. In His ministry, the Savior, served all those around Him. As I serve by small and simple things I come closer to His Spirit. It amazes me how a simple phone call can help someone in need and especially simple visits with someone at home help so much.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

The temple is a very sacred place and entrance is determined by the Lord's standards that He has set forth for each individual. The call though is for every person to come into the Lord's House. We may have to put our lives in line with what the Lord requires to enter, but giving up anything for the Lord is worth the peace found within those walls. Show more Show less
