Hi I'm Krisi

I'm a film editor. I'm a photographer. I'm a stay-at-home mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I had big dreams. I wanted to be a rock star, an artist, a photographer, a filmmaker...but most of all, a mother. The closest I got to some of those lofty goals was being in a rock band in high school, winning a few awards for my art in school, and majoring in film and minoring in music in college. Following college I was able to proceed with my career as a film editor for a small film studio. I mostly worked on commercials, corporate videos, documentaries, and a few music videos. I also had the opportunity to edit a few independent feature films. When I finally met and married the man of my dreams at age 29, and after 9 years as a film editor, we had our first baby. I chose to stay at home to raise my son, and so far, I count motherhood as my greatest achievement. I have discovered there is no work more important in the world than being a mother. I am thankful for a loving husband who can support us so I can stay at home with our baby and future children. Motherhood has been harder than anything I've ever done. But, nothing has been more rewarding.  I do continue to edit and make videos for clients from home. I also enjoy being hired as a photographer from time to time. I'm grateful to have these talents and skills as an outlet. I feel the Lord has truly blessed me throughout my life as I continually strive to keep His commandments and keep a close relationship with Him through daily prayer and scripture study.

Why I am a Mormon

I live my faith, not only because I was raised a Mormon, but because I have learned for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a true and living church. Over the course of my life, I have searched the scriptures, I have fasted, I have prayed, and consistently I have received confirmation from God, through the Holy Ghost, that this is a true religion to follow. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of our faith. Every doctrine, every principle we study are founded on Jesus Christ's teachings. My whole goal in living my faith is to become more like Jesus and to return along with my family and loved ones to live with Him and my Father in Heaven again. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and believe firmly in his saving grace and atonement. I am thankful for the gift of repentance, for the gift of baptism, and for the gift of the Holy Ghost, that cleanses us and draws us closer to God. I know we can live with Them again someday if we keep the commandments, follow in the footsteps our our Savior Jesus Christ, and endure to the end.

How I live my faith

I love serving in my ward. Currently, I serve as the family history specialist. I help members in my ward learn how to search for their ancestors. I love learning about my ancestors because it helps me know more about myself and where I came from. Reading about how they endured their trials with faith in God has strengthened my resolve to do the same. I desire to carry on their legacy of faith and pass it on to my posterity.
