Hi I'm Jared

Raised in small town USA, father of 5, with a wonderful wife. Missionary for two years in Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobbies are spending time with my family, work, and the outdoors. From age 19 to 21 I served a two year mission to Australia. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith, but my testimony has come through much prayer and reading of the scriptures. Scriptures, the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants, & Pearl of Great Price, have impacted my life and testimony dramatically. I have also found much strength through daily prayer.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday my family and I attend a local congregation or ward for 3 hours of church worship. These meetings include a Sacrament Service as well as classes organized to build faith in the Savior Jesus Christ. Each member is given the opportunity to serve in a calling due to a lay ministry. In addition to our Sunday meetings we also organize a Family Home Evening each Monday night where each family member takes turns conducting, leading the music & giving the lesson. Prayer & scripture study is a daily occurrence in our home. This is a challenge with five small children, but it is worth it.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jared
Mormons believe that Grace is the saving and enabling power made available through demonstrations of faith. As I demonstrate faith through actions, thoughts, words, and deeds, the Savior Jesus Christ provides the power and ability to help me overcome my weaknesses and turn them into strengths.
