Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a Mormon. I became converted when I was faced with the decision of going on a mission. After asking God, I knew.

About Me

I never thought that I would make it to college, and I had no Idea where the money was going to come from, but I have somehow made it through 9 years of college. I would not have made it through so many years of education without the help of the Lord. I've finally graduated with an advanced degree in the sciences. I was one of the few graduate students to be blessed with a wife and three little children. Most would say that it is madness to have a family in graduate school. I am glad that I did have a loving supportive family to help me realize that if I didn't achieve my occupational success, it is more important that I have a successful family. I love music. My main hobby right now is creating music using digital audio workstation (DAW) software. I am often frustrated with music that is seemingly good, but often carries bad, depressing, or seductive messages with it; therefore I try to create my own.

Why I am a Mormon

This church as an organization does nothing but good. It helps people love and help each other. It helps you to do good things with your life even if you're not sure what you can do. The gospel of Jesus Christ that is taught by this church is the true gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness. I know that most all churches do good and promote charity, but this is the only church that answers all important questions pertaining the events before, during, and after this earthly existence.

How I live my faith

I am involved in teaching the youth 15-18 years old in the church and I'm not sure they have fun during class, but I do. It is sometimes hard to find time to prepare a lesson and yet I get to study the scriptures more, so it helps out my life. At work I try to be a good example of an LDS member. Often I don't celebrate and hang out together with the research group while they drink. Yet, we have intriguing conversations about the gospel and life.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Daniel
God is the person we all should aspire to be like. He is perfect, and He wants us to be like Him. If I were a perfect father, I would also want my son to be like me. Since I'm not perfect, I just want my son to learn my good qualities and not my bad ones. We have been created in the image of God and we have the potential of being like him. Show more Show less
