Hi I'm Bill

I surf, run trails, try lawsuits, am married and have 4 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and have 4 children. I am a lawyer. I love to surf and be outdoors. I am a trail runner.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 18, I was a long-haired hippie-surfer. I was searching for the truth. When the missionaries taught me, I attended Church, read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and knew it was true. It changed my life and is the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

How I live my faith

I have served as the Bishop of our congregation and currently serve as a young men's leader. I attend weeknight activities and weekend outdoor activities with our youth where they socialize, have fun, learn new things and serve others. I am also a home teacher where my companion and I visit our families once a month to watch over, protect and teach them. Our ward is like one big, happy family.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Bill
A testimony is what we "know" to be true through the Holy Ghost. It is a feeling that we have that is so strong that is compels us to action. A testimony is about eternal principles like we know that God lives, His Son, Jesus Christ is our Savior and that there is a living prophet of God on the earth today. Show more Show less

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Bill
After the Savior was crucified, His Apostles and disciples were persecuted. Eventually, all were killed or could not endure the persecution. The Bible has remained constant since it was written but there have been many inconsistent interpretations and debates about what it means and how it applies in our lives. That is why we need the Book of Mormon and a living prophet. Show more Show less
