Hi I'm Scott

I'm a husband and father. I work in the oil and gas industry. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father. My wife and I have four children. Our children are completely exhausting but also the greatest source of happiness in our lives. I'm fortunate to have an occupation that I am passionate about. My hobbies include guitar playing and sports, both as a fan and a participant.

Why I am a Mormon

I've spent my entire life trying to live the principles taught in this church. In my experience, when I live these principles my life is more fulfilling and things go well for me.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in my home with my family. The principles of love and kindness taught in the church are meant to have real world application in families. I try to live my faith in my relationships with coworkers and friends by treating them with respect and being there to help them when I can. I also teach the youth in our local church each Sunday.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Mormons believe 100% in the doctrine of grace. There is nothing that we can do in and of ourselves to qualify for eternal life. That is a blessing that comes only through the grace of Jesus Christ. As we inevitably continue to make mistakes and further disqualify ourselves from eternal life, our only option is to petition the Lord for forgiveness. Through His atonement He has the power to make us clean. Show more Show less
