Hi I'm Dave

I'm a convert to the Mormon church. My wife and I are both converts but have gained such joy and love.

About Me

I was married in 1985 and we seemed happy for many years but as I grew older and I hope wiser I realized something was missing in my life. I was happy but not fulfilled in my family or work life. I started reading the bible again and throughout many years my step-son had been patient with my wife and I. He was a converted member and had found Christ in the church. My wife was the first to take the discussions without talking about it with me, this caused me much anger initially but after staying up all night thinking about it I knew my responsibility as a husband was to support her so I did by reading actually devouring everything I could get about the church. Then one day I called her and told her I wanted the discussions also. The rest is now history.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know Jesus Christ is the Savior of the earth and that after reading the Book of Mormon and placing the timeline in relation to the Bible, I know that it is only through the power of Heavenly father that Joseph Smith was able to transcribe the plates of Moroni to allow the missing times of the bible to be placed in direct times of the the Christian history and complete the testimony of the bible for all to read.

How I live my faith

After only being in the church for a short time I was called as a Sunday School counselor. I did this prior to taking employment overseas. When I returned I was called as Ward financial clerk, this I did with great pride. I was also called after a short time to be Stake Assistant clerk with the duty of website, stake directory, and stake membership. This was a huge time management challenge but I just added it to the rest and made it happen as I was doing things required to assist others and their needs were greater than mine. Every position I have held in the church was with love and desire to do my best. I know the Lord will not allow me to do anything that is beyond my capabilities no matter what I thought were my limits.
