Hi I'm Alan

I was born and raised in California, U.S.A. I compose and perform music that makes people feel good. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have loved music all my life. When I was only about three I was intrigued with the radio. I asked my mom, "how do songs get on the radio?" When she explained that people write the songs I was even more intrigued. I married a lovely woman who had two children, ages 1 1/2 and 3. Her first husband was killed in an auto accident. He was a very good man. And because of their faith and prayers, they did not remain husband-less and fatherless. I had recorded a song that she had played over and over after her first husband died. This song gave her great comfort. Today we have five more children.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Lord's true church because I have read the Book of Mormon many times. There is power in that book. I know it is true because the Spirit witnesses to me each time I read. I am glad to be a member of the church with the same organization as was in Christ's early church, with Prophets and Apostles. Our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson receives revelation for the church just as Moses did for the people of his day. Also, I receive revelation personally. When I kneel in prayer, when I fast, the Holy Spirit speaks to me with the still, small voice. Sometimes the answer comes right away. Sometimes I must have more patience which requires more faith. But God always answers when I pray.

How I live my faith

At church I am the pianist for the primary children.
