Hi I'm Brian

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a great family, including my wife and 3 wonderful and fun kids. We live in California where I work as a principal scientist at a medical device company. My work is rewarding, knowing that I help many people affected by disease. When I was 20, I served a 2-year mission for the Church in South Africa. This was an amazing experience. I later attended university and graduate school. As a family, we love to be outdoors. We especially love camping, wakeboarding and sailing. When I find the time, I love to cook, do projects at home, build furniture, cycle and work on cars

Why I am a Mormon

My faith God and my belief in the gospel of Jesus Christ are the most important things in my life and the motivating force in all that I do. The happiest moments of my life are associated with family and friends, the times I’m doing what’s right and being of service to others. I'm so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father, His son Jesus Christ and the great plan of happiness they provide to all. Christ's life, teachings and atoning sacrifice provide the hope that I can overcome my challenges, be forgiven for my transgressions and that I can eventually live in God's presence eternally with my family. This knowledge has come through faith, prayer and study. This is the same way that anyone can truly know.

How I live my faith

I'm currently serving as the Bishop of my Ward. This position is similar to a Pastor in other churches except that it's not a full-time job, usually lasts about 5 years and I am not paid for my service. Among my several responsibilities, I spend as much time as I can with our youth.
