Hi I'm Tammie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 41 year old mother of 3. I have been married for 19 years and looking forward to many more. I have a wonderful husband who supports and encourages me to be the best I can be. I teach preschool two mornings a week simply because I love children. I believe with all my heart that the sacrifice I have made to stay home and be a full time mother for my children will be the greatest gift I give to them. When it's all said and done, you can give your children two things that last forever, an education and a testimony. Sure if I worked I could buy them an iPhone and True Religion jeans, but I don't think that will matter much 20 years down the line. But the fact that I am here each day when they get home from school to laugh and talk and share expieriences, now that they will remember when they are 41.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a very disfunctional family. My mother and father where divorced and were both alchoholics. Finances were less than addiquate when I was a kid, needless to say, things were not too happy around my house. When I turned 18 I can remember thinking, "there has to be a better way than this. Everyone in my life is unhappy." I went our looking for what could help me, I decided to look around at my high school and find those who seemed truly happy. I had several friends we called the "Mormon kids". They seemed to have something about them that was different from the other kids at school. Well, to make a long story shorter.... Here I am 22 years later, I know that this is the only true church on the earth, that it is lead by a Prophet of God, Pres. Thomas S. Monson and that he recieves direction from Heavenly Father to guide and direct this church. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that he serves at the right hand of the Father. This church has lead me to joy and happiness beyond anything I could have immagined.

How I live my faith

Each day, we start out with Family prayer. It is the perfect start to what is almost always a busy, hectic 16 hours. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an intrical part of our family life. We start out on Monday's with Family Home Evening. Twice a month on Tuesdays my 10 year old meets with other girls her age from our ward to participate in Activity Days. Wednesday is Mutual night, mu husband, older daughter and son spend an hour with other kids there age leaning things that will help them be better adults. Thurdays are usually pretty free, great time to slow down the week by talking and meeting with my kids on the things that are important to them. I live my faith each day as I strive to do what the Savior wants me to do.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

Tammie
We believe in an eternal family. We believe that we will all return to our Heavenly Home and be reuinited with our love ones who have already died. That we will remain in family units to live out eternity. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will be there to teach us. That we will continue to grow and develop as we learn the mysteries of how the world was made and what makes it work. Knowledge is key and we will have the opportunity to take whatever knowledge we attain in this life with us. We do beleive in angels but not the kind with wings who are really just bodies of air. We will help to guide our love ones still on earth with the help of the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
