Hi I'm Kristina

I serve through baking. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to bake! I love trying new recipes, especially any kind of dessert. I like making desserts for people and then leaving it on their doorstep with a note. Recently I've gotten into candy making as well. I believe that good food can draw people together like nothing else. I enjoy traveling to old familiar places as well as new exciting places. I graduated from college a few years ago and then worked as a junior high teacher. I am now taking a break from teaching and I currently serve as a full-time missionary. I enjoy giving service and getting to know people. I love writing letters and sending cards. I enjoy cultural things like museums, plays, musicals, art galleries, concerts, and more, even though I'm not especially artistic myself. I love spending time with my family and friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in a Mormon family and was baptized when I was eight years old. I continue to follow the gospel because I know that it is true. I have seen the lives of my family and friends, as well as my own life be blessed by being a member of this church. As I choose to be obedient to the commandments of the gospel, like studying my scriptures, serving others, saying my prayers, going to the temple, listening to the prophet, etc. I know that I am blessed. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ and was called as a prophet to restore the gospel on the earth. I know that the Savior atoned for me and made it possible so that I can live with Him again one day. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet called of God and as I follow his teachings I will draw closer to God. I'm grateful that there are temples here on earth and that I can feel such peace and joy there. I know that when I have questions that I can turn to God through prayer and receive answers. I know that He is always there for me. I'm grateful for the example of my mom in joining the church at about the same age that I am now. I'm grateful she listened to the missionaries and wanted to know for herself. I'm grateful that I have a testimony and that I can improve myself each day. I've received so many blessings in my life and I want others to be able to get those blessings and feel the joy and happiness that come by being a member of this church. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior and I know that as we each pray we can find out for ourselves that it's true.

How I live my faith

I'm a teacher by profession and I love helping others grow! I'm able to live my faith by encouraging others to live up their full potential. At home I was part of a young single adult ward and it was one of the greatest blessings in my life! Love and service are powerful unifying forces. I now serve as a missionary helping people to understand more about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It is privilege to meet so many people and help them to feel of His love.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

The prophet on earth today is a man named Thomas S. Monson. He is a man, just like anyone else, but he has been prepared and called of God to be in the position he is in today. We do not worship him, but we honor him as a mouthpiece of the Lord. He is a kind, loving, fatherly, and gentle man who loves to tell stories. He teaches us through those stories many times. I love listening to his words and I know that he is a prophet of God. Show more Show less
