Hi I'm Ryan

I'm from Oregon, USA, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a businessman, fisherman and family man. With a BS in Business and an MBA, I thoroughly enjoy my career in corporate finance, but am careful not to let it take over my life. I make sure I find balance with the important things in life family and God. I am a father of three young girls, and love spending time with them and their mother. I take them fishing often, attend school events and take time to listen to them and be a part of their lives. They are my most prized 'possessions'.

Why I am a Mormon

While growing up, my whole family was Mormon. Even so, there came a time that I needed to know for myself if this was God's true church. I am a Mormon today because I've read the Book of Mormon and asked God in prayer whether it is true, whether Joseph Smith really was a prophet, and whether this was His true church on the earth. I received the most comforting and sure knowledge from the Holy Ghost that it indeed is true. That knowledge inspires me to live the gospel, serve faithfully, and embrace it with my full heart. In doing so, I find happiness, peace and joy with my family. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My family is most important to me. I spend as much time as possible with them, raising my children, teaching them the gospel, building my relationship with my wife and studying the gospel together. In addition, I serve in the church working with the young men and young men leaders. I love to see the youth cling to the gospel as they face the tough challenges in thier lives. I love to see them strengthened by living the teachings of Christ. I find great pleasure in providing assistance to the adult leaders of young men while they help the boys develop by participating programs designed specifically for young men like Boy Scouts and the Duty to God program, a program designed to help young men build a relationship with God and develop faith in Jesus Christ.
