Hi I'm Fritz

People ask me if I was born into the Church, or if I'm a convert. Honest answer? "Both."

About Me

People say, "Wow, Fritz, you really think outside the box!" and I say, "There's a box?"  So, my answers to life and my church tend to come from a different angle. But that's who I am. I know this Church is true, but I talk about it differently. But I still can agree with you about a lot of things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have tried the promises across all scripture- the Bible, the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, the words of modern prophets, and found their promises, based on results, true and valid. I have seen the miracles of healing, speaking in tongues, prophecy. I have felt the sweet, sweet sensation of the Holy Ghost possessing my body with an embrace of Love that bears no parallel in my experience. I have fought hard and sacrificed a great deal to serve and enjoy membership in this Church, and been richly rewarded by its Owner, Jesus Christ- the Lover of My Soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in my own way. I do not like the culture attached to my Church, and from time to time may even act in such a way to disrupt any related expectations dropped on me for it. However; I am quick to testify and bear witness of the reality of Joseph Smith's prophetic calling, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other modern scripture, and the need to come to Jesus Christ and be saved in Him.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, yes, and moreover, yes. Show more Show less

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

There have been twelve representatives of the Lord's people for a long, long time. It began from twelve sons of Jacob, but has become the standard organizational layout for the Church. It's worked for several thousand years, and has no bearing on doctrine or saving principles. Why would Christ change it for our times? Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Despite many belief systems, we are against it. Life is more sacred than we think, and that its existence and beginnings go beyond our understanding. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

There are promises galore in the scriptures that can provide us with "proof" (for lack of a better word) that there is a God. When we try the promises Jesus Christ and his prophets laid out for us, we can see for ourselves that God is very real, alive and involved in our lives. We just need to involve Him. Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

It is a Mormon myth that the Church endorses a certain political party. Many feel much of the doctrine tends to lean toward the Republican Party, and much of it seems Democratic Party-ish, and much of it sounds like the Constitution Party. But God and Christ are well above and beyond any political party. Show more Show less
