Hi I'm Tori.

I'm a designer, blogger, wife, soon-to-be momma, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of three young children. I love art: I'm a designer and photographer, and I love art history. We recently moved to Colorado and love being outdoors, and exploring our new home with out family.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was ten years old. When the missionaries first came to my house and shared their message with us, I felt like I was finally home everything that they shared was familiar to me it was as if they were just reminding me of things that I already knew. And I felt such peace. When they asked me if I wanted to be baptized, I couldn't say anything other than yes. I knew that the church was true, that it was the right thing to do, and I couldn't deny it. And I haven't denied it since. I still know that those things the missionaries taught me are true. Before I was baptized, there weren't a lot of good things in my life. But being a Mormon has brought nothing but peace and happiness into my life it has filled my life with a deep goodness, even when bad things have happened. That knowledge, being able to see the blessings that I receive daily, has strengthened my testimony of this gospel immensely. I know that every good gift comes from Christ and that when we strive to do what He would have us do, and be what He would have us be, we are blessed.

How I live my faith

I currently serve the women in my congregation by helping to organize activities that can help them to grow and become better. I visit two women from my congregation regularly, by assignment. I try to serve in every way that I can, on campus, in church and in the community. I try to do what is right and to follow Christ's example.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Tori.
We can come to know our Father in Heaven as we strive to become like Him. As we keep the commandments and do what is right, we grow closer to Him and feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost leads us to do what is right and as we follow it's promptings, we become better and begin to receive the Lord's image in our countenance. We can also come to know our Father in Heaven through prayer. He longs to hear from us and as we come to Him with our hopes and fears, our joys and pain, we come to feel His love for us. Through prayer, we develop an intimate relationship with our Creator. We come to see that He knows us and that He wants what is best for each of us we come to see that He has a plan for each of us and we begin to trust in that plan and to trust in Him. What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Tori.
Everything around me tells me that there is a God. The love of my husband, the beauty of the flowers, the taste of food and the warmth of the sun all bear record of this truth God lives and He loves you. All things testify of Him and His love. We are not here by chance we were created for a divine purpose by a loving Heavenly Father. He cares for and loves His children. He has a plan for each one of us. The glory of His creations are all around us His love is all around us. If we just take the time to look, we will see it.   Show more Show less
