Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm an attorney, a marathoner, a news sponge, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from law school and have a B.A. in Middle East Studies/ Arabic. I have seven brothers and one sister. I love the outdoors. My siblings and I grew up backpacking every summer. I also like to try new things. I have done a marathon and a century bike ride though would not say I am adept at either... But as my brother says, I am in the "do things club," not the "sit on your duff club."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I grew up in a loving home with a great family. I came to know and love my Savior and feel of the truthfulness of the gospel as I grew up and began to see the positive effects it has had on my life. I don't look at the world through rose colored glasses, but I find a great measure of hope in this gospel and in the knowledge that I have a purpose and that this life is but a portion of our existence. I am a Mormon because it brings me joy, peace, and hope.

How I live my faith

I attend a service each Sunday for young single adults (as opposed to a service catered towards families and children) and I attend the temple as often as I can. I try each day to improve myself and become more Christlike. He is our perfect example. Service is an important aspect of my faith. Whether it is helping at home, doing baptisms for the dead, volunteering at church or in the community, or visiting someone lonely, acts of service draw me closer to the Lord and help me to maintain a broader perspective and not just think about me.
