Hi I'm Ben

I am a father of four and lawyer in Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and grew up in the United States. But when I had a chance to travel, I wanted to live elsewhere. I married a girl from Australian and decided to live there for a time. I graduated with business and law degrees in the US and now I practice as a Lawyer in Australia. How wonderful? Who knows where life will take us next?

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an active Latter Day Saint (Mormon) family. You might think that automatically makes me a Mormon; however, everyone needs to make a decision to stick with the faith of their youth or seek something else. That moment of decision came when I decided to serve as a Mormon missionary. The experiences as a missionary helped me learn to listen to the Holy Ghost. It is what I learned through listening to these promptings in my heart and mind that have made me a committed Mormon. I know what I believe is true because of the Holy Ghost and the blessings that come through doing what God wants you to do.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by applying what I learn about the gospel. I pray often, and study the gospel from the scriptures daily. Together with modern revelation from the prophet and the things I learn from others at church help me to adjust my life to live more like the Savior would live. This is how I find peace in a turbulent world. I have the opportunity to serve in the church as I work with the young men. I teach lessons on Sunday and plan activities for the young men to learn important life skills. I love helping.
