Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happily married stay-at-home mom of 5 kids ages 11-23. I have a bachelors degree in family living and besides keeping up with my busy family I teach a class at the local Institute for 18-30 year old members of our church. I enjoy traveling with my family, keeping in touch with friends and quilting.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love its teachings which center on Jesus Christ. I have come to know through study and prayer that Christ's origional church has been restored by the prophet Joseph Smith. In addition to the Bible, I love "The Book of Mormon" Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Each time I read it I realize again that it is from God...no mortal man could have possibly written it. I was born into the church but I have also grown to know the truth of its teachings for myself. God lives. He is our Father. True happiness comes from him. I am honored to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

The women in our church serve as "visiting teachers" to other women within the congregation. We are organized into companionships and given the names of few women to visit monthly in their own homes. We share a spiritual message and see what we can do to help with any difficulties. Some of my dearest friends have come about through this program. As my family has moved to new locations throughout the years visiting teaching has blessed me with instant friends wherever we have gone. We try to be the savior's hands in reaching out to each other. I am also the camp director for the teenage girls in my congregation. A few weeks ago we headed to the mountains for 4 days to learn camping skills, enjoy nature, develop friendships, grow closer to our Heavenly Father and Savior, and have a lot of fun!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Kristi
Whenever someone feels the love of Jesus Christ come into their life the first thing they want to do is share it. Since we are all children of our Heavenly Father all mankind are our brothers and sisters and we want everyone to have a chance to experience the joy we have found. We proselyte because we feel his love and want to share it. Pure and simple. Show more Show less
