Hi I'm Vanessa

I joined the Church when I was 18 and loving it! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my high school sweetheart who I love very much! He and his family introduced me to the church at the age of 17. We like to hang out with friends, go to the movies, play games, and eat! I work in the Mortgage Industry and have done so for 8 yrs now. We are still working on having a family and hope it happens sooner than later. I love to sing and dance! My childhood wish was to some day be a Rockstar or Actress... Then reality hit. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I was baptized when I was 18 yrs. old. It was my first important adult decision and the best one I have made in my life! I am so grateful that I was introduced to the church. I took some time to investigate the church. By meeting with the Elder's and through prayer and study of the Book of Mormon, I knew that becoming a member of this church was the right thing for me to do. I knew that what the Elders were teaching me was true! And at 18, I thought it would be best for me to get into church than into trouble. I also learned that I was not alone. I had a Father in Heaven that loved me and a Brother, Jesus Christ, that Atoned for my sins. I knew I wasn't perfect, but with the Gospel knowledge I could get through anything. It has been a great blessing in my life!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through baby steps! By doing the best that I can day by day. This is all our Heavenly Father asks of us. He knew that we would all be a work in progress. I try to serve others to the best of my ability and live the Gospel principles. By doing so, life seems so much more bearable as it can be a vale of tears at times.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

As I think back to the time that I was investigating the church, I remember the feelings that I felt as I heard the teachings of the Elders. The information I was learning made so much sense and the spirit that I felt when they spoke was that of peace and love. As I would pray and read the Book of Mormon, truly studied the words, along with the Bible, they went hand in hand. I didn't have a great manifestion of truth fall into my lap, but the calm peaceful feeling that came over me as I prayed about whether or not I should join the church was more comforting than doubtful. Through study and prayer, I just knew it was true! Show more Show less
