Hi I'm Nancy

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah, but have lived in California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.

About Me

I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother. I love to read, play the piano, sing in the choir, and make cookies with my grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a descendent of Mormon pioneers. My ancestors crossed the plains in covered wagons to reach the Salt Lake valley and worship God without fear of persecution. They are examples to me of unwavering faith. Even though I was born into the Church, I have had to gain my own testimony of the principles of the gospel. I don't know what my life would be like without the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer and that through Him I can gain eternal life.

How I live my faith

On Sundays I play the organ at church and enjoy attending Sunday School. We are studying the Old Testament this year.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a record of some of the people who lived in the western hemisphere from 600 BC to 421 AD, In the Book of Mormon we read about Christ's appearance to these people following His resurrection. It is a witness, along with the Bible, that Jesus is the Christ. I know if you read the Book of Mormon and humbly ask God if it is true, you will receive a testimony of it. I know this to be so. What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

I'm always being asked what makes the Mormon church different from other Christian churches. One difference is that we believe God still speaks to us today through living prophets just as he spoke to Moses, Noah, Elijah and others. We also believe that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth and He is at the head of the Church as our name implies, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
