Hi I'm Shelly

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter and a lover of life.

About Me

I love to laugh! I feel like it is the best medicine most times. I always like to look for the silver lining in life and sometimes, am overly optimistic. I absolutely love being with my husband and our four kids and figuring out the adventures we can get into. We have our ups and downs but have tried hard to make our home a safe haven for our little family. I think there is nothing better than being around teenagers. I have the awesome opportunity to lead a group at the local high school to promote kindness and compassion and I love their enthusiasm to make this world a better place. I have come to discover over the last few years that I am a fighter when it comes to my kids especially. Having a child with special needs is both rewarding and some days so challenging. I decided to quit my job and bring my son with special needs home and to home school him. It has been the best thing that ever happened to him and has taught me things about him and myself that I never knew.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! The knowledge that I know who I am and my purpose in this life brings me so much peace and determination. We live in a rough world, with the adversary attacking us at all angles, knowing what I need to do to help myself and my family is priceless. Life is not always easy, but being a member shows me that in hard things, I can come to know the Savior. The knowledge that I have that families can be together forever and doesn't end in this life gives me the drive to be a better wife, mother and person.

How I live my faith

I currently work as a social media rep and also coordinate activities and service projects for my congregation in the church. It is something I love doing . I also get to work with the youth of the church helping out at a camp for a large number of girls ages 12-18. I absolutely love working with the youth of the church and am blessed to be able to do so.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes! We believe that the bonds we make here on earth, can last forever. That marriage can be more than " Till Death do us part" We can be together forever! Show more Show less
