Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Ohio (USA) and joined the church shortly after high school. I served in the Peru Arequipa Mission.

About Me

I am married and have 5 children. I am a middle school educator. I enjoy writing and exercising.

Why I am a Mormon

A close friend shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with me when I was in High School. I became interested in the basic principles that lead to a happier life such as good family living, prayer, our purpose in life and strong moral values.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in a Spanish speaking branch of the church. I have been assigned to serve in a leadership capacity for a few years. I enjoy the opportunity because I enjoy speaking the language that I learned while serving as a missionary in Peru years ago. We have members from all over North, Central, and South America in our congregation.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

I have been married for 21 years and share equally with my wife in decision making. We discuss matters as a couple that pertain to ourselves and our children and try to make the best decisions possible. Many times we pray together for additional strength and to resolve differences. My wife chooses to be at home with the smaller children until they are more self sufficient. I view our roles and providers and nurturers to our children. My wife and I are the happiest when we keep our channels of communication open with each other. Show more Show less
