Hi I'm Taylor

I saw the BeeGees in concert when I was 12. I like to hike. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Utah. I'm happily married and am the father of four wonderful daughters. I do professional engineering and sales as my occupation. I like to build yard art and concrete sculptures for fun. Before I finish one 'art' project I am thinking about the next one.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I learned the basic doctrines before I was baptized at 8 years old. I knew at the time I was baptized by my uncle that I was doing what was right. The Holy Spirit has confirmed the truth of the doctrines of the church after years of trying to do what is right, read the scriptures, pray often, fast regularly, repent daily, serve in the church, and then repeat them all over. Being a member of the church has brought me happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the same on Sunday at church as on any other day of the week.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

I have received confirmations of truths as well as comfort and guidance. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Baptism is an ordinance taught by the Savior. He was baptized. New members are baptized so that they too, can receive the necessary ordinance. It is also symbolic. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

The Bible is the word of God. I love to read it and enjoy the doctrines and life stories. The Old and New Testaments are witnesses of the divinity of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The temple is a special building that is dedicated as the House of the Lord. It is there that I made eternal promises and received necessary ordinances. It is at the temple that I was married, or sealed, to my wife for eternity. The Lord wants to give all of His children the opportunity to receive those promises and ordinances for themselves. Many people who have died without the chance to attend the temple will be able to accept the ordinances when someone goes to the temple on their behalf. I have gone to the temple many times on behalf of my kindred dead and have felt a great sense of peace and love for Heavenly Father and for my ancestors. Show more Show less
