Hi I'm Jason Christopher

and I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints.

About Me

I'm a father of a wonderful son. I see the goodness of this world reflected in his eyes. They are bright and full of hope and love. As my love and care grows as a parent, I begin to more fully understand the depth of love that our Father in Heaven has for us and how that great love is shown in the sacrifice of His only Son, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

By the power of the Holy Spirit which comes to those who seek out the truth, I came to know the truth of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I had searched for many years to find a way to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. When I began to read the Holy Bible I could feel the power of the Holy Spirit helping me to understand the love of my Savior and the truthfulness of His words. Before I read the Book of Mormon, I saw an inscription that read: Another testament of Jesus Christ. I knew that if that were true then there was only one way to know for certain. I prayed to my Father in Heaven to be given the assurance by the Holy Spirit if what I was about to read was truly another testament of Jesus Christ. As my eyes looked upon the words of the Book of Mormon, I felt the same powerful Spirit which came to me as I read the Holy Bible. The Book of Mormon testifies that the Holy Bible is true scripture, it testifies that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and in its pages is an invitation to know for ourselves whether it is true by the power of the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity to teach principles of gospel doctrine in church. It's an opportunity to diligently search and study the scriptures both for my own benefit and to teach about how powerful messages of faith, hope, charity, redemption, and salvation have been with the human family throughout history. It is a great joy to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a light unto the entire world which can bring about the most desirable change that we seek in our own lives.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jason Christopher
Believe that you can receive an answer to prayer. With your own words and with your hearts true desire, ask in humble prayer for help to know of your Father in Heaven. Read the words of the holy scriptures and live by the teachings of Jesus Christ. As you pray ask for this help to know our Father in Heaven by invoking the name of Jesus Christ. If you live by the teachings of Jesus Christ, your faith will grow, and the power of the Holy Spirit will comfort and guide you and testify to you of our Father in Heaven. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Jason Christopher
We believe that God is our Father in Heaven. We believe that He knows each one of us personally and He loves us. As a parent who loves their children, so does our Father in Heaven because we are his children. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to live on this earth to teach us the way to return home to Him. Through His Son Jesus Christ's perfect obedience and innocence, our Father gave us the perfect example of how to live. Jesus Christ offered to take upon himself all the responsibility and suffering for all of our wrongdoing which keeps us from returning home to our Heavenly Father. God, our Father, loves us so much that he allowed His perfectly obedient son Jesus Christ to suffer and die for our sake. Jesus Christ overcame death and fulfilled His Father's plan to allow us to return to be with Him if we have faith in Jesus Christ and strive to live by his example. Show more Show less
