Hi I'm David

I'm from the middle of the Bible Belt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married to an amazing woman and the father of three wonderful children. I'm a chemist by trade. I also dabble a bit in teaching piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that attended this church. I have been taught the principles of the gospel all my life. Some may say that I haven't truly been able to make a choice, but I choose every day to continue on the path I was shown. Some days it is harder than others but I know I just have to give my honest best. I am a child of God and he wants me to come back to him one day. I have felt the spirit in my life guide me as I strive to follow God's plan and to help out those around me.

How I live my faith

Up until recently I worked with the young children in our congregation. My wife and I were teachers for a few different age groups until they needed a pianist. Helping to teach children the gospel through song is a wonderful thing. Now I work with the adult men. I help ensure that needs are met and everyone gets the help they need in their daily efforts to live a righteous life.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

David
I served a mission for the Church in Munich Germany. The entire mission was funded by my family in addition to some support from others in our congregation who wanted to contribute. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

David
A testimony is simply each individual's knowledge of gospel truth. Everyone has varying degrees of faith in different principles of the church. No one is required to be 100% versed in every aspect of the teachings of the Church. While one person may have a strong belief in the principle of tithing another person may feel very strongly about repentance and forgiveness. Show more Show less
