Hi I'm Taylor.

Antarctica? No. Texas? Yes. Sweden? Yes. Mormon? Absolutely.

About Me

I enjoy swimming, playing water polo, playing bass guitar, reading, and meeting people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church for two reasons. Firstly, because when I asked God to know if the Book of Mormon I had read was true and, by extension, that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and that Jesus Christ restored his church through Joseph, I received an answer as a feeling of peace and security that those things were true. Secondly, the scriptures and the prophets and apostles who have led the Church since 1830 explain the blessings that come through obedience. When I obey the commandments taught in the scriptures and by the leaders of the Church, I receive the promised blessings. I know that God led the men who wrote the scriptures and the men who lead the Church today to help me and everybody else come closer to him. I know that Jesus Christ, the Son of God was resurrected and lives today, and I know that by following the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I can live eternally with God, Jesus Christ, and my family.

How I live my faith

I attend Sunday services, spend time with members of my congregation, and keep my life in harmony with the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes. In John 10:16, Jesus says, "other sheep I have which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." The other sheep spoken of here are those that believe on his name, those who hear his voice and follow him. When Christ appeared to the inhabitants of North America following the resurrection he says in The Book of Mormon, 3rd Nephi Chapters 15 and 16, the Lord Jesus Christ explains to the people that they are the other sheep spoken of, that they have heard his voice, seen him, and that they are numbered among his sheep.
