Hi I'm Jeramy

From Pendleton, Oregon. I served a Mission in West Africa & I also speak French. Je parle le francais! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as the producer for one of the biggest & most popular morning radio shows in Arizona, Tim & Willy in the Morning on TimandWilly.com . I served my mission, speaking french in two Missions, the Ghana Cape Coast & Ivory Coast Missions across four countries in West Africa: Ghana, Togo, Benin, & Ivory Coast. (2007-2009) I am currently a student studying broadcasting & multimedia at Glendale Community College, I've announced baseball games for the college the past 3 springs. I attend my ward where I was in charge of Family Home Evenings (FHEs) in my Young Single Adult (YSA) ward for 2 yrs and am now currently the Elder's Quorum President. I also attend Institute classes, and do some graphic design work in my spare time. I love going to concerts & I like to speak in public.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and raised a member of the Church. I knew it was true & recognized the blessings, that came from being a member, early on in life. As with lots of members raised in the church, as I approached the time of going on a mission, I searched deeper and harder to have a 'big spiritual experience' to know of a surety that it was true. The more I searched & prayed, the more it became more apparent to me that I wasn't going to get that 'big' answer, because I already knew it was true & that this sort of answer wasn't necessary for me to believe. I know that this is the only true & living church on the earth today. That the Prophet Joseph Smith was truly chosen by God to restore the church & Gospel of Jesus Christ in these latter-days, and that by the gift & power of God he translated the Book of Mormon so that we may have a second witness of the glories of God & his dealings with His children here on the earth. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world & He is our Redeemer if we follow His Gospel to return to live with Him & our Heavenly Father forever.

How I live my faith

For 2 years I was in charge of the activity & spiritual lesson every Monday for Family Home Evenings (FHEs) for my ward of young single adults aged 18-31. This also included coordinating regionally on planning and carrying out dances & activities for 12 young single adult wards. I was released of this responsibility, before briefly being called into the presidency overseeing the young single adult men of our ward, & then seved as the Executive Secretary for the Bishop of our ward for a year before being released. Recently, I was called as the Elder's Quorum President, overseeing again the young single men in my ward.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Yes, Mormons baptize their new converts/new members. This being so that they may have the ordinance performed by someone who holds the holy priesthood. This priesthood is the power of God given to man to act on matters of salvation. Baptism by this power has the power to cleanse & purify one of ones past mistakes. We covenant, or promise, God to keep his commandments, accept Jesus Christ as our Savior & Redeemer, & become a true disciple & follower of Him. He promises us that if we do these things, He will forgive us of our errors and to grant us his Holy Spirit to lead, guide, & protect us as we go about this life in preparation for His greatest gift, to live with Him again.
