Hi I'm A. Burton
I am a voice teacher and singer in North Carolina. I love my Scottish heritage. I am married to my best friend.
About Me
I teach private voice lessons in North Carolina. I enjoy learning while I teach and I cherish opportunities to share my knowledge with my students. Seeing someone improve their singing voice is a lot of fun. I love my job. My husband and I enjoy cooking together and travelling together. We go to a lot of museums and movies. Being married is great! North Carolina is a beautiful state and I am so glad to have grown up here. We have beautiful beaches, gorgeous mountains, and delicious barbecue.
Why I am a Mormon
I grew up with Mormon parents, so I have always gone to the Latter-day Saint church. Now that I'm grown and can make my own choices, I choose to be Mormon because of the blessings it brings to my life. I'm often asked about my habits and why they are part of my life--topics like refraining from drinking alcohol and immorality come up a lot. Because I keep my mind and my body clean, I feel that I can draw closer to the spirit, and have more light in my life. I feel guided by the Holy Ghost as I make important decisions in my life and as I strive to become more like Jesus Christ. Because I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, and that the Book of Mormon is true, there is no reason why I feel that I should doubt this gospel.
How I live my faith
I live my faith by praying in the morning, at night, and before meals. I try to always have a prayer in my heart because I believe that Heavenly Father hears and answers us. He wants us to be happy, and he will help us to make the best choices for us if we listen to the Holy Ghost. By praying every day, I incorporate my faith into my plans and hopes for each day. I also live my faith by performing acts of service. If I see something that I can do to help others then I want to do it. It is one small way that I can be more like Jesus Christ.
