Hi I'm Mason John

I'm a Mormon. Mormon ako.

About Me

I love to read Sci Fi, fantasy, and religious books. I enjoy hiking, weight lifting, soccer, and video games. I'm currently a student, business major. I created my own comic series, so I love to doodle, even though I'm not a very good artist. I served a mission in the Philippines and learned to speak Tagalog. I loved my mission and the people I served and served with.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know the church is true, through the power of the Holy Ghost. In other words, I know it is right because I have studied and prayed to know of its truthfulness. When I follow God's commandments I feel good, I want to do more to serve others. I am not perfect, but as I try my best and repent, I know that through the power of the Savior, Jesus Christ, I can be forgiven of my sins and be able to return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are Institute of Religion Representatives. There are many institutes of religion through out the world. We represent the one near the University of Utah. The Institute is like a college for religious topics relating to the mormon church. Registration is free and anyone can join, you don't have to be a member of the church. If you are interested in registering for a free class or to learn more visit ldsces.org

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mason John
No, though all worthy young men are encouraged to go on a mission when they turn 19. Also, young women who wish to serve a mission may do so. Although not everyone serves a full time mission, every member can be a missionary simply by serving others in their day-to-day lives. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Mason John
The Bible and the Book of Mormon tell us there is a God and that He loves us. We can also know God is real through prayer. We can pray and ask Him if he is really there and we can receive an answer, usually through a feeling of peace. Show more Show less
