Hi I'm Jeffrey Isaac

But you can just call me Ike.

About Me

I'm a 21 year old college student. I am studying Economics in hopes of continuing on to Law School and becoming an International Lawyer. I teach piano, do data management at a doctor's office and work at a men's clothing store. I served a 2-year proselyting mission in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I was able to teach many the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I reached a point in my life where it became my decision as to whether I would continue as a member. I wasn't following all of the Lord's teachings as closely as I could have been and needed to accept him more fully into my life in helping me to change. I read the Book of Mormon and drew closer to Christ and ultimately came to know that He did indeed bring that book forth by a Prophet of God who was Joseph Smith. I finished reading and I prayed about the book and the Holy Spirit witnessed to me that the Book of Mormon was the word of God, just as I knew the Bible was. When I knelt by my bed to pray I received a calm overwhelming peace that I knew to be the Holy Ghost. It confirmed to me that these things were of Christ and His church, had been brought back to the Earth in it's fullness through a living Prophet of God. I knew I needed to take action from the answer the Lord had given me and I decided to serve a mission for the Lord. There my testimony of the truthfulness of the Restored Gospel grew as I helped others to receive a witness of it, just as I had received a witness of it.

How I live my faith

In the congregation or "ward" that I attend I am an Sunday School teacher in the men's group. I also lead Ward Prayer which is a small devotional we hold every Sunday night. I have most recently been asked to lead the efforts of the ward in spreading the gospel as Christ commanded his apostles to do. I am also a "Home Teacher" which every male in the congregation is assigned to do. My teaching partner and I visit individuals that we have been assigned and make sure that their physical, spiritual and emotional needs are met. We also share a brief spiritual message with them. I try to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ everyday in my life by doing my best to follow his example. When I make mistakes (which is everyday). I do my best to change them through his Atonement he made for all of us and I try to do better. I rely upon Him everyday to help me make good decisions and to help me through difficult as well as good times.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Jeffrey Isaac
No. I witnessed and was personally involved in the conversion of many children of God of many races. Regardless of what our outward appearance may be we know that "the Lord looketh upon the heart." In the same way that the Lord is personally concerned with each of His children, so is His church here on the Earth. Show more Show less
