Hi I'm Nathan

About Me

I was born and raised in Ohio by loving parents. They taught me to love and serve God. They taught me to always to be kind to others. I attended college in Ohio, Arizona, and Utah. I served a mission in Utah. I married a wonderful Arizona girl. Now, I am working on my PhD in plant biology.

Why I am a Mormon

Through prayer, I have heard the voice of the Lord in my heart and mind (on a daily basis) that the Book of Momon is the Word of God. And because I love God, I feel a desire to serve him with all my strength. I feel his love as I pray and ponder on his words.

Personal Stories

How has the Book of Mormon brought you closer to God?

The Book of Mormon allows me to draw my attention to Christ everyday. It focuses my attention on doing Christ-like activities (helping the poor and needy). It also calms my spirit. I actually become cranky when I don't read the Book of Mormon every day. The feeling I have when I read the Book of Mormon is that of Joy! I feel closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be as kind and caring to others. If I can help others feel love and peace, I've been successful. In my local congregation, I serve as an advisor to young men (ages 14-16). I help the boys with scouting and try to teach them about the priesthood.
