Hi I'm Spencer

I'm a manager at a group home, I enjoy working out, and I love seeing spiritual lessons in everyday life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a manager at a group home for guys with cognitive disabilities. I love spending times with my friends, watching movies, and having fun. I enjoy learning about Jesus Christ and sharing the joy of his Atonement and His gospel with others. I have been blessed to feel the support of the Lord in my life as I've battled depression, anxiety, addiction, and loneliness. By trusting in Him, I have grown and matured more than I ever bought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the church and as such, I grew up in the church. I feel as though I've always known the church was true. I know it because I've had that testimony tested many times through trials and struggles I've had throughout my life. Being a member of the church helps me to go through the struggles of life with hope and faith because of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that He died for me, so that I could have peace in my times of trial.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the life I live. Though I'm not perfect, I try to live a Christlike life, giving charity and service. I try to do my best and I am continually able to improve by trusting in God. Just like with my workouts, God stretches me each day to strengthen me and help me to grow. He is my Spotter. It's because of Him that I have become the man that I am.

What is faith?

Spencer
Faith is not merely a blind belief. Faith is belief, trust, and action. True faith is a belief or a hope in something. If you have faith, you will have trust in whatever you have faith in. This trust and belief will move a person to act on their faith. Me, I have faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. I know or believe that He lives and I trust that He'll help me in my struggles. Because I have faith in Him, I can hope and trust that even when I can't see where my next step is, He sees the whole path and He's just waiting for me to take one step into the dark.
