Hi I'm Britanie

I am a mom, a photographer, and a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the love of my life and I am the mother of a little boy. I love my family so much. I enjoy being creative. I like to make all sorts of things from Greeting Cards to home decor. I especially love to use computers in my creative work. I am also a photographer. I love to take pictures of everything but mostly people.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born to a Mormon family I do not believe that anyone is born Mormon. Everyone must gain their own knowledge. When I was a child I believed in The Church because that is what I had been taught to believe. As I grew older I began to wonder if what I had been taught was really the truth. When I was 14 my life became very difficult. Things in my life were not going well and I was miserable and confused. I seriously began to question everything that I had ever been taught. As I searched for answers I found them. I asked questions not only of people around me but of God and I searched the scriptures. Eventually I came to know that what this church teaches is absolutely true. It was like one day I just suddenly realized that everything I had been taught was correct and everything was going to be ok no matter what happened. I felt at peace. I did not understand everything that there is to understand and I am still learning many things but I knew and still know that this Church is true. I know that Christ is my savior, that The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that I am loved unconditionally by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day. I always try to do what is right. On Sundays I teach a class of 6-7 year-olds about the gospel. Throughout the week I strive to have family time and to teach my son everything I can.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are all very different and unique. We come from many different backgrounds and have different interests and talents. We are virtuous and kind women. We love each other like sisters and strive to care for everyone in our lives. Mormons definitely believe in equality. We believe that, while men and women are obviously different from each other, neither is better than the other. As a member of the church I have always felt respected and even revered as a woman. Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes!!! Husbands and wives can be together forever through Heavenly Father's plan and this makes me so happy. Now that I am married and have a child of my own this is something that is very special to me. I believe that I will be together with my family in Heaven. This gives me great strength and courage because I know that no matter what happens I will ALWAYS have my family. Show more Show less
