Hi I'm Raymond Bilodeau

I'm a Canadian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father and grandfather. I work in the technology industry and enjoy designing and developing software that helps others do their work. I love Scouting and have spent much of my life in the wilderness. I also enjoy research, especially in the areas of my work and family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I spent most of my challenging childhood and youth, looking for something that I could just not put my finger on. In 1978, when approached by two young Mormon missionaries, I realized I could now describe what it was I was looking for and that I had found it...or it had found me. The Gospel of Jesus Christ, as taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, filled the hole in my life and brought a perspective and context to it that has made decisions easy and life complete. I am grateful to all those that serve so diligently to bring this to the world.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed many opportunities to serve in the Church, school committees, and Scouting. I particularly enjoy visiting people in their homes as a home teacher and have always strove to fulfill my responsibilities. Because of my knack with analysis and technology, I often have the opportunity to help my family and friends with their computer problems. Though I detest lineups, when I get to the front, I try to smile at the service person, address them by name if they have it displayed, and ask them about the challenges of their day. They seem to respond favorably to kindness and honesty when they least expect it.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Raymond Bilodeau
Yes. I believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today. He is Thomas S. Monson and he is the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My testimony of this stems from striving to live the principles he teaches and to heed his counsel. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Raymond Bilodeau
We do not worship Joseph Smith. We appreciate him because of the sacrifices he made to bring us to a knowledge of the truth and a clear understanding of our Heavenly Father, His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, who we worship. Show more Show less
