Hi I'm Danny

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a Mormon my whole life, and have lived all over the US. I'm working on my bachelor's degree in electrical engineering right now. I like reading, writing screenplays, and hitting the gym in my free time. I also have a hobby in web design, and have worked as a freelance web designer.

Why I am a Mormon

Many of my friends in similar scientific academic pursuits have asked me why I'm a Mormon, or why I even believe in God for that matter. Jesus once taught that "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." (John 7:17) The scriptures promise us that God answers our prayers and that if we ask in faith He will reveal things to us. All one has to do then, is to simply test it out. I've found that time and time again, as I live God's commandments and follow the teachings of His prophets, there is a peace and strength in my life that I have never obtained anywhere else doing any other activity. I know of myself that these things are true, and that they don't manifest themselves from mere "wishful" thinking on my part. If you are wondering if these things are real, test them out!

How I live my faith

I'm a Sunday school instructor in my local ward, and volunteer when I can with events and activities. Last week, I made some of my homemade salsa for our Sunday dinner group!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No one in the church is required to serve a mission. Young men are strongly encouraged to do so, but no one is "forced" to go. Young women may serve missions too if they wish. I served a mission because I had the desire to do so, but not everyone in my family has served a mission. Show more Show less
