Hi I'm Suzanne

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming but have lived many other places. I'm married to a wonderful guy and have five kids. The oldest is 24 and the youngest is 13. They are my life! I enjoy gardening, music, reading and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the thing in life that has brought me the most happiness. As our family participates in church activities, and as we strive to live the commandments, attend church, serve others and grow close to our Heavenly Father, his plan for us becomes very clear. Our lives have been so very blessed and rich--primarily because of our faith in Jesus Christ and his gospel. When we have Jesus Christ as our primary focus and foundation, all other things in life fall into place. It doesn't mean life is always easy but we have the strength to face anything that comes our way.

How I live my faith

We are very involved in church activities. My husband is currently a bishop of a young single's ward (congregation). This keeps us very busy working with college aged kids. It is very rewarding and a lot of fun. I teach a Sunday School class each week on Family Relations and Life Skills. I also visit three women each month just to see how they are doing and give them a brief message. They are all very unique and have different needs. We have become such good friends.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

The best way for us to come to know Heavenly Father is to study about Him, pray to Him, think on Him, reverence Him and live our lives in accordance with His teachings. When I make time each day to read and study the scriptures and pray sincerely, I feel His presence with me throughout the day. It isn't something that is easy to describe but it is a tangible feeling of peace. When I know my Father in Heaven is pleased with my life, nothing else matters. It doesn't matter what others think and I feel confident in who I am. Show more Show less
