Hi I'm Cho Ho

I am a child of God, and I am happy to share my story with you...

About Me

I was born in Hong Kong in 1987, I have spent most of my childhood there. At the age of 13, I studied in Beijing. Though I was educated in a Christian school for most of my childhood, I had never look into God seriously. But until the days of my trouble, I slowly became to realize there were something much more than who we are out there. Due to my awful situation, I started a new life in Canada. Even though I still was being foolish, but thanks the Lord of the most high, whom has always been looking after me, even when I was not a believer. In a bright and sunny day in Hamilton, Ontario, 2 sister missionaries came up to me on the street, and they asked me about God, at first I told them that I didn't believe in God, but as I have accepted their invitation to come to church, my life had changed since then... (I was baptized 11th May, 2008) Thus saith the Lord, "He who has ears, let him hear."

Why I am a Mormon

For I cannot deny what I have seen and I cannot deny what I have felt. Everything that have happened in our lives, the experience that we got, and the people that we met, are for the preparations for something greater to come.

How I live my faith

I serve as a branch missionary, and a home-teaching district leader. And I sometimes help people who are physically and developmentally disabled. Most importantly, keep the commandments with exactness and listen to the prophets and church leaders both today and of the old, repent when we fall short.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Cho Ho
For it was being said in the scripture, the church of the Lord is made up of prophets and apostles, therefore as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's church, it is totally reasonable and legitimate to have 12 Apostle in today's true church. In addition, these apostles hold many different keys and authorities to act in the name of God, therefore there must be a need of continuation of these keys and authorities in order to allow worthy and appointed people to act in the Lord's name, as well as maintaining the survival of His true church. Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Cho Ho
For baptism is a scared ordinance, and cannot be performed causally, just as an ice-cream man cannot give you a parking ticket. Therefore it is important for the people who have the proper authority and to be worthy enough to perform such ordinance properly. The Book of Mormon had shown us how a proper baptism is to be done. Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Cho Ho
No, Mormons do not practice polygamy any more. In 1890 the church stopped practicing polygamy, for more than a hundred years polygamy does not exist within the church. Instead, the church does not allow any of its memeber to practice polygamy, if any memeber were being found practicing polygamy, they will surely be ex-communicated. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Cho Ho
Certainly, we do believe correctly translated Bible is the word of God. The Holy Bible contains the word of God as they were being written by many different prophets of the old who were being inspired by God. Latter-Day Saints consider this collection of testimonies as Holy Scripture and the word of God. Show more Show less
