Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of five and grandfather of four. I've been married 37 years and work as an investment advisor. We currently live in California.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints while in college. I grew up going to lots of different churches but never had a strong affiliation. I knew some members of the Church in high school and started dating one. When I left for college, some 2000 miles away, I decided to investigate the Church for myself... without any pressure from others. I liked what I heard and felt. The more I learned about the restored Gospel, the more it seemed to fill a void that I was unaware that I had. I felt more complete, more whole. I prayed about what was shared with me and felt a comforting confirmation that it was true. I could literally see what having this faith in my life would do to enrich my future and help me to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I try to approach every challenge or opportunity in my life with the same template: What would my Savior, Jesus Christ, want me to do? This has increased my compassion towards others and today I enjoy serving others at Church, in my community, and through special projects organized by the Church, such as the welfare vineyard where we produce raisins for the poor and needy across the world.
