Hi I'm Jurdan

I'm a Mormon. Was baptized Aug 1, 1999 and been enjoying the blessings of living the Gospel principles.

About Me

I'am a freelance computer Technician, Call Center Manager, and Globe Wimax installer in our city. I'm a father of 4 children, I'm a returned Missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And currently serving as a Branch Executive Secretary in our Branch.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined this Church because I took the challenge of asking God personally if the things that the missionaries are teaching me are true, and i really received an answer in a special way. I first met with the missionaries, when one Sunday afternoon, they visited our rented apartment, looking for my brother Julito, who they have contacted previously, but since their last meeting been avoiding the missionaries. So when they meet me, and asked if they can share also a message, and since it is a message of Jesus Christ, I agreed to hear them. And it started there. They Challenged me to read the Book of Mormon, and ask God if it is true. So I brought the book to my other apartment at work, and started reading it. And after reading, asked God if the Book is true. I felt, almost same as Joseph Smith, my heart beats fast, feeling nervous, and seems that if I continue... I'll have heart attract. so I set it aside then, and the next time asked the missionaries why i felt that. And also, asked them if I could just asked God to reveal it to me in a dream. And after attending one class or one Sunday at their church. I have the courage to ask again. And when i did that, I asked for an answer in a dream, and I received an answer. And aside from that dream, I felt so good when I'm at Church. I felt so welcome, and at home. But it still took me almost a year to be baptized. And that memory of my conversion is always fresh with me until now. I really felt good being a Mormon, and so i decided to serve a mission.

How I live my faith

Being active in the church brings a lot of blessings to my life. Some of the skills I've learned during church meetings and trainings are also useful for my day to day life. I gained some skills dealing with the young people as I fulfill my duty to teach them once every month. Also the programs of the church about service enables me to fulfill my duty as a good citizen of my country. I'm happy to be of good influence to my co-workers and other associates when it comes to living the Lord's Law of Health or we call it the "Word of Wisdom" it help me also gain peoples respect and confidence.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Well, first you have to believe in God, that He exist and Loves you. Then with that belief, ask Him in prayer one of the 3 big questions. 1. Is the book of Mormon True? 2. Is Joseph Smith a Prophet? 3. Is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints truly His Church On earth today? On a sincere prayer ask just one of this question which is answerable by yes or no. Then listed to your heart for sweet feelings. Feeling a confirmation for these questions wiped all my doubts about the Church and authority of the people or prophets that's leading it now. My belief about all the teachings are strengthened and I gained blessings and faith. Show more Show less
