Hi I'm Ed

I am an accountant, husband, and father. I enjoy every moment with my wife and kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of two children, one girl and one boy. I'm an accountant by profession and also enjoy doing activities ranging from playing hide & seek with my kids to downhill skiing on fresh powder. I enjoy golfing, swimming, camping, hiking, and all sports that end in 'ball'. I also love to sing, dance, smile, and complete woodworking projects. My wife and I have been married for five years and we are expecting another baby girl early 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have had personal experiences that have confirmed to me that Jesus Christ lives and loves me. One simple example is how I feel when I pray. I love the early morning hours when it is quiet, to arise early and take time to read the scriptures and pray. During this time, I think about what lies ahead for that day and what I should be doing to improve. On multiple occasions I have felt the sweet peace that only divine power can provide. My faith in Christ has not come from great or grand miracles, but from simple moments where I have undeniably felt the guiding hand and love of my Savior. I know that Christ lives. I know He has restored His church to earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith by teaching a class of 9-year-old children. I team teach each Sunday with my wife and I love the sharing stories from the scriptures and seeing children get excited about how fun learning can be. In the past, I have had opportunities to use my accounting skills as a clerk keeping financial records. I have also helped organize service projects in the community and entertainment events to build unity. Another way that I live my faith is by trying to set a good example for my family. I want my children to always know their dad had faith in Christ and did his best to follow the commandments.
