Hi I'm Chad

I live in Lehi Utah. I am the CEO of a software company and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I got an engineering degree from the University of Utah which has allowed me to work as both an electrical and software engineer over the past 20 years. Currently, I am the President and CEO of a software company that develops, manufactures and sells business applications. My wife and I met when we were 15 years old and were married at age 21. We now have 3 children and our oldest is attending collage. Over the years I have volunteered and helped with many youth groups and organizations. Some of those experiences have included coaching youth football and taking on various responsibilities within the Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where my parents were actively participating in the Mormon faith on a weekly basis. By default, I was able to learn about the Gospel of Jesus Christ from them and other members close to my family throughout my teenage years. This religious education included things such as studying the scriptures and also the importance of prayer and faith. I was also taught how to incorporate Christian values into my everyday life. Throughout this period of my life I was also able to feel the spirit from time to time which reassured me that what I was learning was something good. I knew that the principals and values followed the teachings of Christ. However, my understanding of spiritual things was still in an embryonic state. This all changed when I accepted the call to become a missionary in Spain. As I began to prepare for this new phase of my life, I began to question certain aspects of my faith. I knew that if I were expected to carry the gospel to others that I had to have the answers for myself. Most of my questions were easily taken care of by my parents and church leaders but there was one question that continued to linger. I knew that Spain was a very religious country and so the question that arose was, "Why do we need to go to a country that already understands many things about Christ?". As I prepared to leave, this question continued to pop up. Through my study and prayer I finally had a very powerful spiritual experience that let me know that I had a special message for the people of Spain that they didn't yet understand. That message was that God has visited the earth again to bring back changed/lost gospel principals and ordinances. This experience and many since that time have taught me that God still communicates with us through prophets just as he did anciently and his church has been restored to the earth. Every person on this earth needs to have the opportunity of understanding that very important message.

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have had many opportunities and responsibilities within the church. Currently I teach an Adult Sunday School class each week that has about 60 attendees. Last year the topic was the New Testament. This year have moved onto studying the restoration of the gospel and modern revelation (20th Century). Previous assignments included a leadership role where I was involved in overseeing the temporal and spiritual well being of over 5000 members.
