Hi I'm Mark

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a husband and father. I love my family. We like to watch movies together but it is hard to find clean, wholesome material in our world today. Many movies are so good but they so commonly contain that one or those few parts that spoil the whole thing. On weekends usually travel to either do work in the nearest temple to us or to visit family. Family, both physical and spiritual, is so important to us.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents both became members of the church between graduating from high school and meeting one another. I was raised Mormon. It was hard for me when I realized that I had been taught something all my life and that I didn't even know if it was true. My parents taught me it was true, of course, but I needed to find out for myself. I didn't find out immediately. I asked but I didn't even know what it meant to ask at the time or how it would impact my life. One day I came to the decision that I needed to know. After reading some in the Book of Mormon (sacred text that I have come to study with the Holy Bible) I knelt at my bedside and asked God if the book was true. He told me. Not verbally. I didn't have a vision. I felt it in my heart and knew it in my mind. Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is directed through the Lord's prophet today.

How I live my faith

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Mark
While I served as a full-time missionary in South America my companions and I helped everyone we meet that wouldn't turn us away. We dug water wells, rebuilt houses, painted, and many other things. After coming home the opportunities didn't stop. I love to help out people from work, school, neighbors, and even strangers I meet who are in need. It is a great day when I know that I've helped lighten the burden on someone's shoulders. And the best part is that the opportunity could come at anytime and be with anyone, Mormon or not Mormon.
