Hi I'm Joshua

I'm a dad and a husband. I'm a railroader. I'm a scout leader. I'm the son of pioneer ancestors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was born into the Church, I have had to learn for myself whether the faith of my ancestors is true. Through much prayer and meditation, I have come to know for myself and I feel humbled to have been given such a glorious gift from those that have come before me.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has blessed me more than I can express. I am a better Father, Husband, and Neighbor. Through the teachings of the Church, I have learned to see how quick I am to become prideful. It's a constant battle, but I am so grateful for the teachings of Jesus Christ that help me become more like a child and repent of my sins.

How I live my faith

I currently serve with our Young Men from the ages of 12-18. They are at an exciting age but they are also vulnerable to satan's influences. I feel that my role is to help them see a vision for who they can become and help them put on the armor of God and defend themselves against the barrage of temptations that come every day.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is something that cannot be bought or sold. It is a belief that penetrates who we are and can only be found by faith and following the teachings of Jesus. I've found that as I follow the principles of the gospel, I am happier. When I choose to rebel and ignore teachings and counsel, I find that I am later disappointed. A testimony is one's belief from these experiences and it burns in my heart. Show more Show less
