Hi I'm Judi

I am a daughter of God. I am a Mormon!

About Me

Our family lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! My husband and I live on Camano Island, God's island as many have called it. I worked professionally in the dental field as an oral surgery assistant as well as an Office Manager. One of my favorite things to do is to play games with my grandchildren and to be with family. We love to build a fire and roast marshmallows. Besides my family, I love the beach, nature and most of all my Father in Heaven!

Why I am a Mormon

Being raised in The Church I always knew I wanted to be a member. When I turned 8 I was excited to be baptized and to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost! I am grateful for its companionship. As I live faithfully I have come to recognize not only the peace and comfort that has come at difficult times in my life but give thanks for the guidance and inspiration I receive on a daily basis through the quiet whisperings of the spirit. As an adult I cannot imagine not being a member. The gospel has been such an anchor to help me "weather" the storms of life. I know that it is part of Heavenly Father's plan for us to come to this earth. It is necessary for us to learn to be like Him so we can return to live with Him someday. I have a testimony that the priesthood has been restored to this earth. I am the humble recipient of a miracle that came as an answer to a priesthood blessing. I am here today because of the gift of healing. There is not a day in my life that I do not thank my Father in Heaven for such a special gift. I am a Mormon; a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a privelege to be a part of our Savior's Church. My membership shows obedience to His teachings that we are to be baptized just as He was so very long ago.

How I live my faith

Daily I try to live my life just like the song the young children in our church sing: "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." Visualizing the Savior constantly beside me has helped me to try to be more like Him. Every day I read the scriptures and have grown to love them! I am happiest when I am obedient and read from them faithfully. I have a testimony that The Book of Mormon is true, I love reading from it and give thanks for the spirit that I feel each time I read. It has brought great peace to my life during times of chaos. The scriptures are the Word of God. I know they are true, I strive to live the teachings from these sacred works. I especially love reading from the New Testament as well. I love the stories of Jesus and how He lived His life; I try to follow His teachings.

Are Mormons Christians?

Judi
Over the years I have been asked if I am a Christian...as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jesus Christ himself stands at the head of His church. We are indeed Christians. We believe in Christ, we talk of Christ...and daily strive in our actions to live like He would have us live. All that we do in our church is done in our beloved Savior's name. We pray to our Father in Heaven through our Savior. The nickname Mormon that others have given us literally means ''More Good". Our prophet today; Thomas S. Monson has said, “Let us ask ourselves the questions,” “‘Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need?’ What a formula for happiness! What a prescription for contentment, for inner peace. …There are hearts to gladden. There are kind words to say. There are gifts to be given. There are deeds to be done. There are souls to be saved.” We serve others because of our love for our Savior; serving as He would if he were here on the earth. We strive to be His hands wherever needed. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

Judi
I am a Child of God; and he has sent me here. Has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear. These are words to one of my favorite Primary songs. I know that I am one of his daughters sent here to earth to gain a body it was part of his plan for us to come to learn to be like him. Like our earthly parents our Father in Heaven loves each of us; he is always there for us, and hopes that we will return to live with him someday. Show more Show less
