Hi I'm Nathan Ted

I have a wife and young son and I'm a mormon

About Me

I joined the air force and am currently in dental school. I have two years left before I finish school and then I will have to serve in the air force for three years. I like computers and technology in general. I have a wife and young 1 year old son.

Why I am a Mormon

One word...freedom. I live my life in a way that makes me free. I try to live my life by our heavenly fathers standards so that I can be happy and free from things that make you sad, and captive. I dont take things into my body that can harm me and can make me do things that I will regret later. I try to help other people because I know that as I help others heavenly father will bless me more and expect me to help others more. I feel joy and happiness when I do what God wants me to do, and when I make a mistake, that happiness leaves me. I feel that the best way to be truly happy is to do what God wants me to do and know where I am headed in life. Being a mormon gives me those answers and direction that I need.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a young mens leader. I have a small group of boys ages 16-18 that I teach the gospel to every sunday. In addition I have activities with them weekly on wednesday nights. The activities range from simple games like basketball to making knives or career visits. I also have a few familys that I watch out for and look after. I visit them about once a month and make sure everything is going well and make sure they dont need anything and just support them in a general sense.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Nathan Ted
Everyone is allowed to go to the temple, however in the temple we make sacred and serious promises with God that we will live by his laws. These promises are not to be taken lightly, if a person goes to the temple they will make the promise to live by certain laws and do what is right. Now anyone can go to the temple that feels prepared to live by these covenants (promises) that they will make with God. Some mormons do not go to the temple because they are either not ready to make these promises with God and/or they have made mistakes that show they are not ready to go yet. To be able to make these promises one must already be worthy by demonstrating their devotion and ability to follow God laws before they enter the temple. If you or any other person wants to go to the temple then first learn what our heavenly father wants you to do and then start preparing to enter the temple by living the way God wants you to live. We want everyone to enter the temple but most people are not ready to make that commitment and that is why they do no enter the temple. Show more Show less
